Founded in 2005, the Mahad Society is a registered organization based in Harda, Madhya Pradesh, inspired by Dr. Ambedkar’s Mahad Satyagraha against untouchability. We began as a small group of like-minded individuals determined to drive social change. Today, we focus on worker safety, social security, and empowering marginalized communities.

Since October 2024, Mahad Samajik Nyay Evam Vikas Samiti has been collaborating with the Azim Premji Foundation to implement the Migrant Resilience Collaboration (MRC) program in Harda district, Madhya Pradesh.

In response to the mass migration crisis caused by the pandemic, Mahad Social Justice and Development Committee joined hands with Yuva Vikas Mandal Bhopal and Jan Sahas to implement the Migrant Resilience Collaborative (MRC).

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Mahad Social Justice and Development Committee, in collaboration with Jan Sahas, undertook extensive relief efforts to support the most vulnerable communities in the Harda District of Madhya Pradesh.
Dalit Adhikar Abhiyan &
Nyay Evam Aman Pahel
• From 2006 to 2017, Mahad implemented the Dalit Adhikar Abhiyan in seven districts of Madhya Pradesh to promote Dalit rights.
• From 2014 to 2020, Mahad Samajik Nyay Evam Vikas Samiti partnered with ActionAid’s Nyay Evam Aman Pahel to combat caste discrimination and ensure resource equity for Dalit communities.
